Northern Gov’s Aide Intimidates Guests With Snake In Govt House, Suspended By Party

Kabir Sani Giant

An aide to one of the governors in Northern Nigeria has been accused of taking a snake to the government house, where he intimidated guests while feeling amused.

The aide, Kabir Sani-Giant, is a special adviser to Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State on Power and Politics.

While Sani-Giant has not denied his action and the governor has taken no action, the party controlling the government in the state, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kebbi State chapter, has suspended him immediately.

A statement signed by the party’s state secretary, Alhaji Sa’idu Muhammad-Kimba, announced the suspension in Birnin Kebbi.

He revealed that on February 8, 2025, Sani-Giant brought a snake to Government House, intimidating dignitaries, statesmen, and officials.

Muhammad-Kimba said that the conduct could embarrass and discredit the APC.

He added that Sani-Giant’s actions violated APC’s constitution.

According to him, the party deemed his behaviour offensive and embarrassing.

“His suspension remains in place pending further investigation and possible disciplinary action, which could lead to expulsion if repeated,” Muhammad-Kimba said.
