Oslo police banned a demonstration that included a Qur’an burning “due to security concerns.” Although one can see their reasoning, there are wider implications. The cancellation is a surrender to the tenets of violent foreign entities. The Islamic world has already been in upheaval over a Qur’an burning in Sweden. Offending someone else’s feelings is fully permitted in free societies such as Norway. The reaction of Muslims, however, reveals much about “the religion of peace.” Sharia blasphemy tenets must not be accepted in Western countries.
Acting barbarously as mobs do in Pakistan and other Sharia-adherent countries is acceptable under the Sharia. It is not acceptable in free societies; nor should it ever be tolerated or encouraged.
The ban was implemented “hours after the Turkish foreign ministry summoned the Norwegian ambassador to complain.” Since when does Turkey dictate to Norway? The Sharia is prevailing as police refuse to do their job of upholding the rights of citizens and the rule of law. How about throwing those who commit acts of violence in prison for breaking Western laws? The cancellation sends a global message that fear, violence and intimidation work against weak Western leaders. The West in slowly being subjugated.

Police in Norway have banned a planned protest including the burning of a copy of the Islamic holy book, the Quran, hours after the Turkish foreign ministry summoned the Norwegian ambassador to complain.
A group of protesters planned to burn a copy of the Quran outside the Turkish embassy in Oslo on Friday, police said.
“The police emphasise that burning the Quran is a legal political statement in Norway, but this event can’t go ahead due to security concerns,” Oslo police Inspector Martin Strand said in a statement on Thursday.
The move came after Turkey’s foreign ministry summoned Norway’s Ambassador Erling Skjonsberg over the planned protest.
“Upon learning that there will be an attack against our holy book, the Quran, in Norway tomorrow, the Norwegian ambassador to Turkiye [Turkey] has just been summoned to our ministry,” a Turkish diplomatic source told Anadolu Agency earlier on Thursday.
“[Norway’s] approach not to prevent the planned provocative act, which is clearly a hate crime … is unacceptable and we expect this act not to be allowed,” the source added….
