Now You See Me 3 Box Office Surges Past Major Global Milestone In Just 3 Days

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t has already passed a major box office milestone. The legacy sequel is the third installment in the stage magic-themed heist franchise, following the 2013 original and its 2016 sequel.

The Now You See Me: Now You Don’t cast features newcomers Justice Smith, Ariana Greenblatt, Dominic Sessa, and Rosamund Pike joining the returning legacy stars, which include Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman.

Per Variety, as of Sunday morning, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is expected to close its debut weekend with a global box office total of $75.5 million, comprising $21.3 million from the domestic box office and an additional $54.2 million from 64 international markets. This marks the movie as the 43rd movie of 2025 to pass the $75 million global milestone, which it has done within just three days.

It has already surpassed the complete global grosses of multiple major 2025 movies, including The Monkey ($68.9 million), I Know What You Did Last Summer ($64.8 million), The Long Walk ($62.2 million), One of Them Days ($51.9 million), Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere ($39.7 million), M3GAN 2.0 ($39.1 million), and Caught Stealing ($32.7 million).

While its domestic debut has been somewhat lukewarm, set to come in far below the $33.2 million debut of Disney’s 2025 disappointment Tron: Ares, Now You Don’t is continuing the Now You See Me movies’ habit of performing much better overseas than in North America.

The original Now You See Me earned 66.5% of its $351.7 million worldwide haul from international markets, while Now You See Me 2 earned a whopping 80.6% of its $334.9 million total outside of North America. The latter was specifically designed to appeal to international markets, as multiple major sequences took place in Macau.

2025’s Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is not making as transparent of a bid for international ticket sales, though it maintains the franchise’s globetrotting sensibilities. So far, it has earned 71.8% of its overall grosses internationally.

If this proportion holds throughout the rest of its run, the movie could follow in the footsteps of its predecessors, putting it on a trajectory to potentially earn something between $215 and $300 million, or more, by the end of its run.

If Now You See Me: Now You Don’t hits the upper end of that range, it could fall roughly in line with the global hauls of its two predecessors in spite of the fact that its domestic debut is the lowest of the franchise (the first movie debuted with $29.3 million while the sequel earned $22.4 million).
