NUPRC boss bags CEO award

NUPRC CHIEF EXECUTIVE ENGR GBENGA KOMOLAFE

The Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, Gbenga Komolafe, was named the Chief Executive Officer of the Year at ThisDay’s 30th Commemoration Awards.

Komolafe received the CEO award at an event held in Lagos between Monday and Tuesday.

Speaking after receiving the award, Komolafe said it would spur him to be more committed to boosting the country’s oil and gas production.

According to him, the commission will work hard to boost investors’ confidence and ensure returns on investments.

He commended President Bola Tinubu, who he said has given the NUPRC the needed support.

Komolafe also dedicated the award to the entire NUPRC team, saying a tree does not make a forest.

“At the NUPRC, we will work assiduously to create investors’ confidence and attract predictability in the Nigerian upstream. We will work very tirelessly with my team. A tree does not make a forest. I want to dedicate this award to my team. I also want to thank President Bola Tinubu for the support he has given to the Commission,” Komolafe stated.

At the event, the Dangote refinery won the Company of the Year Award.
