Obaseki Mourns Passing Of Rebecca Aikhomu

Former Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Mrs. Rebecca Aikhomu.

Naijaonpoint reports that she  was the widow of the late Admiral Augustus Aikhomu, who served as Chief of General Staff of Nigeria.

Obaseki described Mrs. Aikhomu as a woman of dignity and quiet strength, whose dedication to family and service earned her respect across her community.

He said his long-standing relationship with the Aikhomu family makes her passing a personal loss.

He said that her life reflected humility, compassion, and commitment, values that contributed to the Aikhomu household being recognized for integrity and leadership.

He also acknowledged her continued devotion to her late husband and her resilience in carrying forward his legacy.

The former governor extended his condolences to the family, praying for comfort and strength during this difficult time and wishing that her soul may rest in peace.

Mrs. Aikhomu was an exceptional woman whose quiet strength, dignity, selfless service and commitment to family earned her the respect and admiration of all who knew her.
