OGFZA CEO Bamanga Jada

The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) has awarded an “Excellent” rating to the Oil & Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA).

The excellent performance rating forms part of the outcome of a PEBEC Mystery Service Quality Assessment of 71 MDAs, an exercise structured into four distinct segments designed to evaluate different aspects of service quality.

The four segments include: telephone inquiries, email inquiries, online PEBEC-compliant feedback portal and In-person quality assessment.

In evaluating efficiency and transparency in public service delivery, PEBEC contacted the MDAs twice on different weekdays during designated business hours to make specific service-related enquiries via calls and an email sent from a personal account to the official email addresses of each MDA.

The Oil & Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA) emerged topmost on the list of the 13 MDAs that provided “prompt and clear responses” to email enquiries and were rated excellent. Others are the National Information Technology Development Agency, Nigeria Immigration Service, and the Nigerian Content Development Management Board.

The feat achieved by OGFZA demonstrates it’s commitment to improving the ease of doing business in Nigeria, particularly in the oil and gas sector, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration .

In addition, the remarkable performance of OGFZA in the MDA Quality Assessment for the first quarter of 2025 reflects the digital governance transformation led by the Managing Director/CEO Usman Bamanga Jada.
