OGUN: Gov Abiodun asserts APC’s dominance in upcoming LG elections

Dapo Abiodun

THE Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has emphasized that the performance of his administration over the past five years has rendered opposition parties virtually insignificant in the upcoming local government elections.

He expressed confidence that the strong caliber of candidates presented by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will lead to a resounding victory across all 20 Local Government Areas in the state.

In statements made through his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, Governor Abiodun highlighted how his administration has transformed the previously unstable political landscape into one that allows opposition parties to operate freely, without fear of intimidation.

He stated, “With the caliber of candidates our party is fielding in the upcoming elections, the APC is clearly the party to beat. We have made significant strides that have positively impacted our citizens, which undoubtedly serves as our key advantage.”

Abiodun further stated that instead of resorting to intimidation tactics against opposition parties, his administration’s impressive projects and innovative ideas have overshadowed them and solidified the APC’s leading position among other regions in the federation.

He called on APC members in all 20 Local Government Areas to maintain the successes achieved over the past five years by demonstrating greater commitment and unity to ensure a decisive win in the local elections scheduled for November 16.
