Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has announced the provision of electric motorcycles to the Nigeria Police Force.

The governor said the initiative aims to enhance patrol efficiency and reduce response times across the state.

The announcement was made during the inauguration of the 5th Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Governor Abiodun stated that the donation of electric motorcycles are part of efforts to integrate sustainable technology into security frameworks.

In addition to the motorcycles, the governor revealed a partnership with a French technology firm to deploy advanced drones capable of detecting criminal activities from altitudes of up to 8,000 feet.

The drones are expected to provide real-time aerial surveillance, offering the police a strategic advantage in monitoring and responding to incidents swiftly.
