Okitipupa, FrieslandCampina Lift Unlisted Stocks by 0.51%

The duo of Okitipupa Plc and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc boosted the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange further by 0.51 per cent on Thursday, February 20.

At the close of transactions yesterday, the market capitalisation of the bourse went up by N9.4 billion to settle at N1.848 trillion compared with the preceding day’s N1.838 trillion, and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) increased by 16.59 points to close at 3,262.35 points, in contrast to the previous trading day’s 3,245.76 points.

Okitipupa Plc gained N16.53 to close at N181.81 per unit versus Wednesday’s closing price of N165.28 per unit and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc jumped by 60 Kobo to end at N39.60 per share, in contrast to the previous day’s N39.00 per share.

The volume of securities traded at the bourse during the trading session slid by 92.4 per cent to 17,000 units from the 223,661 units transacted by the market participants at the last session.

Also, the value of securities traded yesterday went down by 82.9 per cent to N1.3 million from the N7.4 million quoted at the midweek session, and the number number of deals decreased by 71.4 per cent to six deals from 21 deals.

At the close of transactions, Impresit Bakolori Plc was the most active stock by value (year-to-date) with 533.9 million units worth N520.9 million, followed by Afriland Properties Plc with 16.4 million units valued at N335.2 million, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with 8.3 million units valued at N328.9 million.

Impresit Bakolori Plc was also the most active stock by volume (year-to-date) with 533.9 million units worth N520.9 million, trailed by Industrial General Insurance (IGI) Plc with 69.7 million units sold for N23.6 million, and Afriland Properties Plc with 16.4 million units valued at N335.2 million.
