Nigerian philanthropist and businessman Olakunle Churchill is setting the record straight about the viral Billboard photo of him, his ex, Tonto Dikeh, and their son.
Kemi Filani reported that Churchill, via his Instagram story, had shared a picture of the billboard erected at the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge in honour of his first son. The billboard featured a picture of the businessman, his ex-wife, Tonto Dikeh and their son.
Many had assumed that the businessman had erected the billboard, which left many mocking his wife, Rosy Meurer.
Setting the record straight, Churchill made it clear he wasn’t the one who erected the billboard, as it was a sweet gesture from one of his friends celebrating his son.
He shared screenshots of his chat with the person, where the latter stated clearly that the billboard is a gift to Churchill’s son.
It is obvious Churchill is trying to protect his marriage.
Last week, the former couple had celebrated their son as he turns 10. The former couple threw their son a big bash which had in attendance Obi Cubana, Zack Peju, Rita Edochie, Uche Elendu, Empress Njamah, singer Teni, and others.
At the party, the movie star had appreciated Churchill for being an amazing father as she affirmed her godly love for him. She said she wishes him the best and prays for his family, his businesses, and his other children.
Following their birthday celebration, Churchill’s wife, Rosy, had created a stir online with her outburst.
Rosy had sparked reactions when many noticed that she had unfollowed her husband after he celebrated his son with Tonto.
Clarifying things, Rosy in a series of videos on her Instagram page, addressed claims that she snatched Churchill from Tonto after the actress introduced them. She said, contrary to the rumours, nothing like that happened, as she had no relationship with her and met her husband separately.
Not done, on her Instagram story and page, she continued to rant over the false narratives about her, stating that she was tired of being quiet. She made it clear she knew about the reunion and reconciliation before it hit the internet, and has been 100 per cent supportive.
In an Instagram live session with Daddy Freeze, Rosy revealed that there was never a formal introduction from Churchill stating that Tonto was his wife. She disclosed that her husband was the one who encouraged her to speak out, and made it clear that she is fully supportive of his relationship with Tonto Dikeh.
