The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke on the Bureau of Social Services, Akintunde Bello, has praised the Osun State Governor for his handling of the mild drama that unfolded on Sunday during the 10th coronation anniversary of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and the installation of First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as “Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua.”

The moment, captured in a viral video, saw Senator Tinubu interrupt Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, as he delivered his remarks at the high-profile event.

In the video circulating online, Governor Adeleke was seen singing mid-speech to the amusement of the crowd, when Senator Tinubu approached the podium and, in a low tone, urged him to wrap up.

Posting on Facebook, Bello described the event not as a scandal but as another answered prayer, a public affirmation of the governor’s standing and acceptance among his people.

According to Bello, the atmosphere changed the moment Governor Adeleke arrived.

He said, “Everywhere was electrified from the beginning to the end, the moment Adeleke arrived at the event. The Ile-Ife people showed tremendous love and stood with their Governor.

“The chanting of Imole all the way can open the eardrums of a deaf man. Madam was irked that a Governor could steal the show so much. She will bear witness to the overall when she gets to the innermost confinement of the power house, where Imole holds the ace in Osun State.

“Yeye does not hate the Governor, but as a human being, there are ways the body tends you to go when others flourish the way you do not envisage. Above all, Governor Adeleke’s maturity and candour in handling the situation were superb.

“Instead of a repel, Adeleke embraced her Sister and visiting Guest with love in his heart. And he stood his ground delivering his speech till the end. All other VIPs were happy to see him navigating under the artificial occurrence without fouling the environment. Imole, 💯 percent maturity. We are proud of you Excellency.”
