Omicron Variant: UK adds Nigeria to red list

Nigeria has been added to the red list of countries banned from entering the UK from 4am Monday 6 December.

This is due to the 21 cases of Omicron reported in England which are linked to travel from Nigeria.

These are temporary measures that have been introduced to prevent further Omicron cases from entering the UK, and will be examined at the three-week review point on 20 December

Speaking about the decision British High Commissioner to Nigeria Catriona Laing said:
I know that this decision will have a significant impact on people in both our countries, particularly at this time of year. This decision is a precautionary measure to protect public health in the UK, whilst we try to understand this new variant.
“We continue to work very closely with the Nigerian authorities in tackling the pandemic and commend their ongoing work.”

From 4am on Monday 6 December, UK and Irish citizens and residents arriving from Nigeria must isolate in a Government-approved managed quarantine facility for 10 days, and receive two negative PCR tests, as further precautionary action is taken against the Omicron variant.

She says currently, the majority of cases in the UK have clear links to overseas travel from South Africa and Nigeria, and over the past week 21 reported Omicron cases in England originating from Nigeria.

“A temporary travel ban will therefore be introduced for all non-UK and non-Irish citizens and residents who have been in Nigeria in the last 10 days, meaning they will be refused entry into the UK. This does not apply to those who have stayed airside and only transited through Nigeria while changing flights.

“These additional measures are vital to delay the import of additional cases and slow the rise in cases within the UK. However, as the Prime Minister set out on 27 November, the UK Government will review all temporary measures after three weeks to ensure that they remain necessary and proportionate, and this will take place on 20 December,” she explained.

It would be recalled that last weekend, 10 countries were added to the red list and it was announced that all vaccinated passengers arriving in the UK must take a day 2 PCR test and self-isolate until they receive a negative result. Since then, the geographical spread of Omicron has increased considerably, with 37 countries around the world now reporting Omicron cases and over 134 cases identified in the UK.
“Anyone arriving from Nigeria before 4am Monday 6 December, will be advised and strongly encouraged to isolate at home for 10 days from the beginning of their arrival in England. Their household should also self-isolate for 10 days with them. Affected individuals will be contacted and offered free PCR tests to be taken on day 8 after their arrival,” the British High Commissioner stated.

“Travellers should not attempt to travel to the UK from a red list country without a Managed Quarantine Service (MQS) booking, as they will not be able to board a flight and could be subject to a Fixed Penalty Notice at the UK border. You must book your managed quarantine package before you travel to England using the booking portal administered by Corporate Travel Management (CTM).”

Kenya: Man converts to Islam, blows himself up in home of Christian friends, killing parents, severely injuring teen

“Indeed, Allah has bought from the believers their lives and their wealth, because the garden will be theirs, they will fight in the way of Allah and will kill and be killed.” (Qur’an 9:111)

“Christian Girl Orphaned by Suicide Bomb,” International Christian Concern, January 21, 2022:

01/21/2022 Kenya (International Christian Concern) – Residents of the serene village of Kamloma in Western Kenya were thrown into a panic on Wednesday, December 7th, when a loud explosion emerged from the home of Petro, Mary, and Nancy Onyango.

Alarm soon turned into horror as neighbors realized the origin of the blast. Charles Obala, Petro’s brother, narrated the events that followed.

“We heard a loud explosion coming from my brother’s homestead. Suddenly, Nancy appeared with blood all over her body. We took her inside the house and rushed to check what had happened. I was the first to arrive and found my brother and his wife already dead and another body lying a distance from them.”

The other body, Charles soon realized, was that of John Odhiambo.

Locally known as ‘Pope,’ Odhiambo was alleged to have returned from Somalia where he claimed to be working for a construction company. Petro and Mary were his neighbors, and they knew each other well.

Nancy Onyango, the only child of Petro and Mary, recalled the events of that night.

“We had taken supper and sat outside our house to get fresh air before going to bed.

John Odhiambo walked into our homestead and sat opposite us.

I was sitting between my father and mother, but I was closer to my mother. He sat about three meters from us and what I can remember is that he verbally greeted us and laughed…

Then the bomb went off.”

Odhiambo had detonated an IED, intending to kill himself along with the entire Onyango family.

“It happened so quickly that I did not notice that my father and mother had died,” said Nancy. “I regained consciousness at the hospital. That’s all that I know.”

While Nancy survived the explosion, she sustained various injuries, including the loss of three of her right-hand fingers.

“I was shocked to find out that I had lost three of my fingers. I also had deep cuts on my chest and back, and my ear was chopped a little. I stayed in the hospital for two weeks. I did not celebrate Christmas with my parents. I also missed meeting with my young friends at church. This was very painful. Why did John kill my parents?”

Charles, Nancy’s uncle, speculated about the reason for the attack.

“Petro was a great evangelist in this village. They always had friendly discussions on religion whenever John resurfaced from where we do not know. He used to challenge John on why he converted to Islam after being raised as a Christian. Sometimes he would be disgruntled by the conversations, but he never showed any intention of hurting anyone. He never threatened anyone in our family.”

The police declared the suicide-bomb a terror attack, similar to the al-Shabaab style attacks more commonly seen in Eastern Kenya. Sadly, the assault exemplifies a growing trend of extremism in Kenya’s west.

For 13-year-old Nancy, this extremism took the life of her parents, and sought her life as well. Her survival is truly miraculous….

[VIDEO] Biden Displays NEW and Extremely Alarming “Behavior” During Climate Conference

We’re used to seeing Joe Biden stammer, stumble, and forget his words.

We’re also used to seeing Joe forget where he is, who he’s talking to, and what he’s talking about.

Joe is also prone to lying, exaggerating, and repeating the same story with different facts, and outcomes, depending on what he remembers at the time.

We’ve seen him call Kamala the “president,” and himself a “senator.” We’ve also seen him refer to Obama and Trump as the current president… the list goes on and on.

None of this is news to anyone who’s even paying slight attention.

However, today’s behavior at his climate conference was new, and it was extremely alarming to watch.

Joe did something that I have never seen him do before. He began muttering, rather loudly, as other people were trying to talk.

And then, in another clip from the same meeting, he appears to struggle as he mutters out the most bizarre story, you’ve ever heard – it made no sense.

It was as if he was lost in his own little world. Very, very bizarre to see unfold on TV like that.

When I watched that second clip, my daughter was sitting nearby and could hear it and she said, “What the heck are you listening to?” I said, “Joe Biden!” and she looked at me and said, “No, that has to be a joke…”

She walked over and looked at my computer screen and said, “Oh my gosh, Mom, he sounds just like GG.”

GG is my grandmother, and my daughter’s great-grandmother, who passed away from Alzheimer’s.

My daughter is right. Joe sounds just like GG.

You can watch the videos below:

Here’s what people online had to say:

“Okay how in the world do we go another 3 years with him??? Its actually very sad to see someone decline this much and be in such a public space.”

“This has to be doctored, right? Right?!? Please tell me it is, just so I can sleep at night”

“Seriously, was this edited? This can’t be real, can it?”

“The best story teller the US could find LOL”

“His disease is accelerating”

“I’m not sure if I should laugh or cry. Maybe a combination of both.”

“I’ve seen Joe bad. I’ve never seen Joe THIS BAD”

That’s new, isn’t it? The way he’s behaving is something we haven’t seen before…it’s like a sneak peak behind the medication and facade. Very scary.

“81 million, folks lol”

“Is there ANYONE that think this guy is all there?”

“This is a new and more frightening side of Joe”

I agree about this being worse than what we’ve seen before.

It felt like we got a disturbing peek behind all the medicine and facades, which don’t appear to cover much, but I think they cover a lot more than we realize.

Scary stuff.
