Now, it seems a recent leak has finally confirmed the name of that mid-range phone, it’ll be called the “OnePlus 13R.”

An affordable alternative to the OnePlus 13 just got its name confirmed, it’ll be called the OnePlus 13R

Today, folks over at 91Mobiles Indonesia spotted a listing that confirmed the “OnePlus 13R” name of the upcoming mid-range smartphone. The leaked name reportedly appeared on the SIRIM (Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia) certification page.

The SIRIM certification website has a listing of a device codenamed CPH2645. Alongside there is the name “OnePlus 13R” in the bracket. Therefore, it is safe to assume that the company could launch the OnePlus 13R initially in the Malaysian market.

Once launched, the OnePlus 13R will succeed its predecessor, the OnePlus 12R, which was first launched on January 2, 2024, in China. Earlier leaks have hinted that the OnePlus 13R could be a mid-range smartphone with some flagship features. It will essentially be a stripped-down version of the OnePlus 13.

OnePlus 13R could also feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC

The OnePlus 13R might come with several improvements over the OnePlus 12R. Now, we may have some specifications about the upcoming mid-range device, thanks to the popular Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) and the 91Mobiles Indonesia team. If we consider the rumors, the OnePlus 13R could launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.

Besides, the device could sport a 1.5K resolution display panel. However, there’s no mention of the screen size yet. Besides, the OnePlus 13R might feature a 50MP Sony IMX 906 sensor and a 50MP Samsung JN1 telephoto camera.

The tipster also claims that the OnePlus 13R could pack a 6000mAh battery, bigger than that of the OnePlus 12R (Review). Moreover, the OnePlus 13R could launch globally soon after the company unveils the OnePlus Ace 5 in China.
