Comrade Daniel Onjeh has congratulated Muslim faithful across Benue State, Nigeria, and the global community on the occasion of this year’s Eid celebration, urging them to embrace peace, sacrifice, and compassion as guiding principles of the season.
He emphasized that the festivity remains a reminder of devotion, tolerance, and unity among people of different backgrounds.
He further noted that Eid symbolises gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to helping the less privileged, adding that the values associated with the celebration should be sustained beyond the festive period.
The statement issued in Benue State as part of his Eid goodwill message to the Muslim community further stated that virtues are essential for strengthening social harmony and national cohesion among Nigerians.
Onjeh, who previously served as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Projects Development Institute (PRODA), also called for continued prayers for peace, stability, and economic recovery in Nigeria.
Moreover, he urged citizens to remain hopeful despite prevailing economic challenges affecting many households.
Furthermore, the former National President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) encouraged Nigerians to use the festive period to reinforce unity and mutual understanding across religious and ethnic divides.
He stressed that national progress depends on collective responsibility and sustained civic commitment.
Onjeh also appealed to political and public office holders to prioritise the welfare of citizens, insisting that leadership should be anchored on service, accountability, and the protection of public interest over personal gain.
In his goodwill message, Onjeh prayed for divine blessings, guidance, and protection for Muslim faithful and for the country at large, wishing all celebrants a peaceful and fulfilling Eid occasion.
