By Alamu Akeem Adelani

This is a sincere and heartfelt plea from me, Engr. Alamu Akeem Adelani, a committed progressive, a loyal party man, and someone deeply passionate about the peace and progress of Osun State. At this critical moment in our political journey—when unity, stability, and credibility are urgently needed within the All Progressives Congress (APC)—I respectfully appeal to our leaders, both in Osun and at the national level, to consider Omooba Oyedotun Babayemi for the gubernatorial ticket.

My plea is especially directed to our father, mentor, and national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose wisdom, foresight, and political sagacity have consistently guided the progressive family. Sir, Osun needs a candidate who will heal wounds, restore unity, and bring every stakeholder under one umbrella of peace and progress. That candidate is Omooba Oyedotun Babayemi.

A Leader Unattached to Factional Politics

One of the biggest challenges facing Osun politics today is internal division. Many aspirants are aligned to one bloc or another, creating fragmentation that weakens our political strength. But Babayemi stands apart.

He does not belong to any faction.
He is not tied to any political war.
He carries no baggage of bitterness or divisiveness.

His only loyalty is to the people of Osun State. He represents peace, balance, and unity—qualities our party desperately needs at this moment.

A Man of Integrity, Good Repute, and Humility

In politics, reputation is everything. And Omooba Babayemi’s reputation speaks for him—clean, respectable, and inspiring. He is calm, disciplined, approachable, and compassionate.

He speaks with humility.
He listens with sincerity.
He acts with conscience.

These are rare qualities in modern politics, and they make him the kind of leader who can inspire trust across all divides.

A Candidate Who Can Attract Support Across Party Lines

To win the governorship in Osun, we need more than internal acceptance—we need a candidate who is widely loved by people across political boundaries. Babayemi fits this perfectly.

His personality attracts respect from members of other political parties.
His leadership style appeals to non-partisan citizens.
His simplicity and humanity draw the admiration of the youth, elders, religious groups, and professionals.

He is a bridge-builder who can unify communities, calm political tensions, and bring widespread support to the APC beyond its traditional base.

A Listening Leader Who Knows the Grassroots

Many aspirants wait at the state capital and expect people to come to them. But Babayemi reversed that narrative completely. He travelled from village to village, ward to ward, engaging people directly in their communities.

He visited 299 out of 332 wards—an achievement no one has ever attained in the political history of Osun State.

He listened to farmers, traders, artisans, elders, youths, and community leaders. He took notes. He asked questions. He understood their needs. He connected with them in ways politics has not witnessed in years.

A man who listens this deeply before being elected will serve even better when entrusted with leadership.

My Earnest Plea as a Loyal Party Member

With humility and firm conviction, I, Engr. Alamu Akeem Adelani, appeal to Osun APC leadership and to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu:

Give Osun a unifier.
Give APC a stabilizer.
Give the people a candidate they trust.
Give us Omooba Oyedotun Babayemi.

Osun deserves peace.
Our party deserves victory.
And victory is certain when we present a candidate who carries no division—only goodwill, competence, and character.

This plea is mine alone—not from any group or faction, but from my heart as someone who wants the best for Osun State and for our great party, APC.
