OPPO Find X6 Pro may offer 120x camera zoom

According to a new tidbit shared by Digital Chat Station, the OPPO Find X6 Pro may end up offering 120x camera zoom. Digital Chat Station, as many of you know, is a well-known tipster from China.

The OPPO Find X6 Pro is tipped to include three cameras on the back. One of them will be a telephoto periscope camera, it would seem. It is still unclear whether it will be Sony’s IMX890 sensor, or the IMX766 sensor.

In any case, the tipster says that the camera will offer 2.7x optical zoom. With software optimization, it may reach 3x zoom, and be marketed as such. Its zoom capabilities are said to go all the way up to 120x, though.

That’s not the only detail he mentioned, though. He also said that the phone’s display will offer a high-frequency dimming feature. It will be set at 1,440Hz, which is something we’ve seen on other flagship phones.

Its will also use a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor

What about the other two cameras? Well, the main one will be a 50-megapixel unit with Sony’s IMX989 sensor. That is the same 1-inch camera that you’ll find in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and the Vivo X90 Pro+.

A 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 camera will also be in use, which will be the phone’s ultrawide camera. We’re still not sure about its front-facing camera, though.

A 6.8-inch or 6.9-inch display is expected on the front. That will be a QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Yes, it will be a newer LTPO panel with an adaptive refresh rate, and it will be curved.

100W wired charging is expected, along with 50W wireless charging

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will fuel the phone. OPPO also plans to include LPDDR5X RAM here, and UFS 4.0 flash storage. A 5,000mAh battery will also be a part of the package, along with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Android 13 will come pre-installed on the device, along with OPPO’s ColorOS 13 skin. We’re still not sure when exactly will the phone launch, but its predecessor arrived at the end of February last year. It’s possible OPPO will be aiming at a similar launch timeframe.
