The OPPO Find X8 will be thinner, lighter & smaller than its predecessor

Now, this info comes from OPPO’s exec, so it’s official, basically, it’s not a rumor. He shared the information via Weibo. The person in question is Zhou Yibao, in case you were wondering.

As a reminder, the OPPO Find X7 used a 5,000mAh battery. The OPPO Find X8’s will be larger, but we’re not sure what will the capacity be exactly. The OPPO Find X8 will also have a smaller camera bump, and be smaller than its predecessor in terms of a physical footprint.

The company’s exec also promised that the phone will feel great to hold and use. As a reminder, the OPPO Find X7 measures 162.7 x 75.4 x 8.7-9mm. It also weighs 202 or 206 grams, depending on the material.

The OPPO Find X8 will be smaller, but we’re not sure if it will keep the same display size. OPPO could go for a smaller display, so it would logically be smaller due to that fact. However, if the battery will be bigger, chances are that the OPPO Find X8 won’t exactly be a small device.

It will also have the thinnest bezels on the market

What else do we know about the device’s design? Well, its bezels will be thinner than the ones on the iPhone 16 Pro. In fact, the phone will have the thinnest bezels on the market. They’ll measure only 1.45mm, said a well-known tipster. And yes, the bezels will be uniform.

The OPPO Find X8 series is expected to launch in October in China. We were promised that the global version will be coming this time around, unlike last year. We’re just not sure when will it launch, though.

Also, ColorOS 15, new version of OPPO’s skin based on Android 15, is coming on October 17. That is something that has been confirmed at this point.
