THE paperwork to conclude the agreement between Napoli and Galatasaray has finally been signed, allowing Victor Osimhen to travel to Istanbul, Turkey to complete the transfer.
The Super Eagles striker will have his Galatasaray medical tomorrow for the €75m move from Napoli after arriving in Istanbul tonight, according to several reports.
The deal for Osimhen was drawn out over payment structure and credit guarantee issues, but he is now expected to land in Istanbul tonight so that he can have the necessary medical tests tomorrow and sign the contract.
Osimhen is already a cult hero among Galatasaray fans after his exploits on loan last season, when he scored 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 appearances as they won the Turkish Super Lig and Turkish Cup double.
He was determined to make the move a permanent one, turning down more lucrative offers from Saudi club Al Hilal.
Napoli would however not budge on the terms of the deal for Osimhen, demanding the full €75m figure of the release clause, even if it is not technically being activated.
Galatasaray agreed to pay €40m upfront and the remaining €35m by the end of 2026.
Napoli should reportedly also be entitled to up to €5m in bonuses and retain a 10 per cent sell-on clause.
There is also crucially an anti-Serie A clause included, preventing Osimhen from joining one of their competitors within the next two years, according to Football Italia.
Although that agreement was reached on July 20, it is only now that the financial guarantees have been signed and counter-signed.
