Osun 2026: Ogunbiyi Submits Expression of Interest, Nomination Forms, Expresses Confidence In Victory

The leading gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in the forthcoming governorship election, Dr. Akinade Akanmu Ogunbiyi, on Monday submitted his duly completed Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

Dr. Ogunbiyi, ably represented by Hon Kazeem Olanrewaju expresses confidence in victory at the primary election, and promised to lead APC to Victory next year. While speaking with Journalist in Abuja, Olanrewaju further expressed his strong belief in Dr Ogunbiyi’s ability, experience, and leadership qualities to guide and lead the APC to triumphant victory in both the party primaries and the August 8th, 2026 governorship poll. He emphasized the party’s determination to unseat the current administration.

In his words, we as critical stakeholders and party leaders have enormous faith in Dr Akinade Ogunbiyi’s vision and blueprints, he is determined to create economic prosperity and policies that will speed up development and growth if trusted with the party ticket.

“APC is the party to beat, and as Governorship election draws nearer, Adeleke days of scourge are numbered and APC is battle ready to retire him back to either Ede or Atlanta next year”.

Other Prominent party stakeholders have equally rallied behind Ogunbiyi, commending his steadfastness, commitment, and clear dedication to securing victory for the APC.

It is worth noting that prior to obtaining the party forms last week Thursday, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi—who is the Executive Chairman of Mutual Benefits conglomerate had visited all 30 Local Government Areas and the Ife-East Area Office in Modakeke for consultations, a move described by party leaders as highly motivating and remarkable.

Representing him at the Abuja submission were Hon. Kazeem Olanrewaju, Hon. Mrs. Kemi, Hon. Omowunola, Hon. Kazeem Aro Faleye, Mr. Salimon Mubarak Akorede of Ogunbiyi Media and few party members. They told journalists afterward that the submission marked the completion of all required electoral and party procedures for his participation in the race.
