EMOTIONS ran high today as family members, colleagues, and sympathisers gathered in Osogbo, Osun State, for the burial of slain Federal Road Safety Corps officer, Lasisi Oluwamayokun, and her daughter, Adesewa.
The pair, who served with the Ogun State Command of the FRSC, were reported missing on Sunday, November 2, 2025, after leaving their home at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
They were later confirmed dead, sparking widespread outrage and grief.
Investigations led to the arrest of Oluwamayokun’s manfriend, Victor Fajemirokun, who allegedly lured the mother and child to their deaths.
He was paraded by the Osun State Police Command alongside two suspected herbalists, Gboyega Daramola and Sunday James, in connection with the killing.
At the burial service held at St John’s Anglican Church, Ita-Olookan, Osogbo, mourners broke down in tears as the remains of the deceased were committed to the ground, bringing a somber close to a case that has deeply shaken many across Ogun and Osun states.
