Zichis Agro-Allied Industries Plc has allayed market fears and speculations surrounding a recent insider share transaction involving its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

In a statement on Monday, the Company Secretary, Chief Barrister Solomon Itsede, clarified that the transaction was conducted in full compliance with regulatory provisions guiding insider dealings.

He urged the investing public not to interpret the development as a negative reflection of the company’s operational health or growth outlook.

The clarification comes amid market rumors that the company’s MD had offered to sell over N183 million worth of his shares but found no willing buyers, a narrative that quickly triggered concerns over the firm’s financial standing and future prospects.

“The referenced transaction was carried out within applicable regulatory provisions governing insider dealings and should not be interpreted as a reflection of the Company’s operational performance, financial position, or future growth prospects,” the company stated.

Zichis Agro-Allied stressed that insider share transactions are routine occurrences for publicly listed firms and take place periodically in line with strict disclosure requirements and extant capital market regulations.

“Such transactions should not be interpreted in isolation from the Company’s overall operational performance, strategic direction, and long-term business objectives,” the statement added.

Reassuring shareholders and the investing public of its institutional stability, the company noted that its primary business lines remain robust and are heavily supported by ongoing expansion efforts.

The Management emphasized that its diverse operations across poultry, feed milling, aquaculture, and palm oil processing continue on a steady growth trajectory focused on operational efficiency and sustainable value creation.

“Zichis Agro-Allied Industries Plc continues to maintain a positive operational outlook, supported by ongoing expansion initiatives across its poultry, feed milling, aquaculture, and palm oil operations,” the statement affirmed.

The firm reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to transparency, regulatory compliance, and high corporate governance standards, urging shareholders and stakeholders to rely exclusively on verified company communication channels and official regulatory disclosures for authentic updates.
