Pastor’s Two Daughters, Woman And Her Baby Kidnapped As Boko Haram Raid Chibok

Boko Haram Terrorists Surrender

Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have abducted seven persons, including two daughters of a pastor, a woman and her baby, during an attack on Shikarkir village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State.

The attack reportedly occurred around 8 pm on Wednesday when the insurgents stormed the community. According to local sources, about 15 residents were initially taken away, but eight managed to escape from captivity.

A resident of the area, John Yusuf, while confirming the incident to Vanguard, said the attackers neither fired shots nor destroyed any property.

He said, “The insurgents did not shoot at anybody, nor destroy any property in Shikarkir during the invasion.”

Another Chibok community leader, who preferred not to be named, expressed deep sorrow over the incident, describing it as part of a disturbing pattern of weekly attacks in the region.

In a message shared with reporters, he said, “I am shocked and saddened by the attack on Shikarkir ward, Chibok. My heart goes out to the families of the seven abducted, including the pastor’s two daughters, a woman with her children, and the wife of Mr. Smith Shikarkir with her baby.”

The leader lamented the continued insecurity despite repeated appeals for help. He added, “It’s heartbreaking that this is happening weekly in Chibok. I join the call for peace and security in Chibok. The silence is deafening, we must demand action from our leaders and support our troops to bring an end to this senseless violence. #ChibokDeservesPeace #PrayForChibok.”
