Highly rated Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has been recommended to Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray as the perfect replacement for his compatriot Victor Osimhen, who is widely expected to depart RAMS Park at the end of his season-long loan, Footynaija.com reports.

Osimhen has been absolutely phenomenal for Galatasaray this season, racking up 35 goals in 39 appearances, including a brace in the Turkish Cup final to deliver a first triumph in six years. The relentless Nigerian marksman also leads the way on the Super Lig scoring charts as the Lions aim to complete a sensational domestic double.

However, Osimhen’s fantastic spell at the Turkish capital club has wound down to its final weeks much to the dismay of the Galatasaray faithful. Although Osimhen has openly expressed his happiness in Turkey, he is reportedly eager to return to one of Europe’s top five leagues ahead of the 2025/2026 campaign.

Galatasaray have openly expressed their desire to keep hold of the 26-year-old striker, but the Turkish club fully understands the player’s ambitions and the strong likelihood of being outmatched by more appealing suitors.

In light of this, Turkish football expert Ertem Sener has suggested that Galatasaray secure the services of Osimhen’s Super Eagles teammate Boniface, insisting that the 25-year-old Bayer Leverkusen striker will be a perfect fit for  the Turkish juggernauts.

What did Ertem Sener say?

“Victor Boniface is the perfect fit for Galatasaray,” Sener said in quotes revealed by habersirikirmizi.

“He has been struggling with injuries. If he is going to be taken, care must be taken. However, he will do well at Galatasaray.”

Okohh

While Boniface hasn’t enjoyed as spectacular a campaign as Osimhen, the towering forward certainly possesses all the tools to make a significant level of impact in the Super Lig. Despite battling nagging injuries and fitness concerns for a large chunk of the season, Boniface has managed a decent tally of 11 goals and 2 assists.
