The 24-year-old founder of Perrypays Services Limited, Precious Dorti, is using innovation to drive youth empowerment and access to opportunities in underserved communities across Nigeria, according to a statement issued on Monday.

Born in Okere, Warri, Delta State, Dorti has emerged as a leading voice in youth-led development through a combination of fintech innovation, grassroots sports engagement, and educational initiatives.

His company, Perrypays, launched in 2019, provides digital financial services aimed at expanding financial inclusion among Nigerians with limited access to traditional banking.

“What we wanted to do from the start was simple—give people tools to control their money,” Dorti said. “Fintech should be more than profit. It should be a vehicle for access and empowerment.”

Beyond fintech, Dorti has expanded his impact into sports development with the creation of the Perrypays Superstars Cup, a grassroots football scouting competition aimed at discovering and nurturing young talent across Nigeria.

The initiative has attracted attention from international scouts and is fast becoming a platform for youth visibility and mentorship.

In collaboration with the Glow Foundation, Dorti is also co-leading the construction of a school in Makoko, one of Lagos’s most underserved communities.

The project aims to provide free education and create a stable learning environment for children who otherwise face limited access to formal schooling.

“This is about building for the future,” Dorti said. “Education, access to finance, and opportunities in sports—all of these are tools to uplift the next generation.”

In 2024, Dorti gained national attention after speaking at the Impact Nigeria Event, where he addressed a crowd of over 4,000 on youth entrepreneurship and innovation.

His remarks, which were widely shared on social media, solidified his growing reputation as a changemaker in Nigeria’s innovation landscape.

With operations expanding in Warri and Abuja and new initiatives on the horizon, Perrypays is positioning itself not just as a fintech company but as a platform for social transformation.

Dorti expressed commitment to scaling his efforts across the continent, using technology and community-driven programmes to open new doors for Africa’s next generation.
