The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, had not cast his vote as of 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, despite the arrival of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials at his polling unit in Anambra State.
Obi, a former governor of the state, is scheduled to vote at Umudimakasi, Agulu Ward 2, Polling Unit 008, where residents and supporters had already converged in anticipation of his arrival.
Election officials at the centre confirmed that accreditation had begun, but the LP chieftain was yet to appear at the location.
Dozens of supporters lingered around the venue, waiting to catch a glimpse of the former presidential candidate and assess the voting mood in his hometown.

According to INEC, 2,802,790 registered voters are expected to participate across 5,718 polling units in the state’s 21 LGAs.
