Piers Morgan Slams Nick Fuentes: You Said Your Dad Avoided Restaurants Because of Black People!

Piers Morgan zeroed in on Nick Fuentes during a tense appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored,.

Morgan challenged him over an anecdote Fuentes once shared about his father refusing to take the family to Applebee’s or Red Lobster because, as Fuentes put it, they were “commonly known as Black fare.”

“There was an episode of your podcast where you talked about your father, Bill Fuentes, and how he wouldn’t take the family, including you, to certain restaurants because he believed they were associated with African-Americans,” Morgan said.

He repeated Fuentes’s line about Applebee’s being a place they would “never eat,” then asked the question that set off the exchange: “Do you think you grew up in a racist environment? That your father was inherently racist? And that that thought process moved to you?”

Fuentes recoiled. “Well, I would say it’s a new low. I’ve been attacked for being a racist many times, but to attack my father? To attack my parents based on anecdotes—” he began, before Morgan cut him off, saying… “Hang on, it’s your anecdote.”

Fuentes argued that his father “is not here to defend himself,” while Morgan countered, “You are. You told the story.” Morgan added that he wasn’t trying to “ambush” Fuentes, only asking a “reasonable question” based on things Fuentes had publicly said himself.

Fuentes insisted his parents “are not racist and they’ve never been racist,” offering examples meant to support that claim. He said his parents once ran a firearms training company where “most of the clients were Black,” and that relatives, including his grandmother, lived near Black neighbors in Chicago.

He then contrasted what he called “older generations of Black people” whom he described as “very respectful, very humble, and very decent,” with what he alleged about the city today, claiming there is “no accountability” for Black crime and that Chicago has become a “complete dump.”

Morgan refused to let the original question slip away and circled back to the anecdote. Fuentes finally answered by saying, “My dad was just a food snob, but no, it’s got nothing to do with [race].” Morgan then asked whether Fuentes understood why others might see the story differently, given that it sounded “clearly racist” to most people reading it.

Fuentes pushed back. “I understand what you’re doing, which is sort of ‘Making a Murderer.’ ‘How did he become racist? Well, his father didn’t eat at…’” he said, before Morgan jumped in: “No, no, hang on. No I’m not. I’m literally reminding you of something you said on your show, which led me to conclude a certain thing.”

Fuentes claimed the restaurant anecdote was “a humorous comment” told “in jest,” accusing Morgan of trying to spin it to portray him as racist.
