Piers Morgan is checking in from the hospital after a painful accident left him with a few broken bones.

The British broadcaster shared an update with fans on Sunday, posting a selfie from a hospital bed. Piers Morgan, 60, explained that he was injured after a fall at a London hotel.

“I tripped on a small step in a hotel restaurant,” he wrote, revealing that the fall fractured his femur badly enough to require a hip replacement.

Despite the seriousness of the injury, Morgan maintained his trademark humor. “New Year off to a cracking start!” he joked, adding sarcastically, “I blame Donald Trump.” He also shared an X-ray image that showed the extent of the fracture.

Morgan told followers that he is now recovering and facing a lengthy road ahead. He said he will need to use crutches for the next six weeks and will be unable to do any long-haul travel for at least 12 weeks. According to medical experts, femur fractures often require surgery and months of recovery, particularly when paired with a hip replacement.

The outspoken host currently leads Piers Morgan Uncensored, following earlier stints on CNN and as a judge on America’s Got Talent.

He recently called out the Trump administration following ICE’s fatal shooting of Renee Good.

“I’ve watched the Renee Good video endless times from all available angles. Anyone who says they know what happened is lying, and we should await the investigation. But killing a mother like that is surely a tragedy? The lack of humanity I’m seeing to towards her is repulsive,” he wrote on X.
