Social media influencer, Laura Ikeji Kanu, has appealed to friends and acquaintances of the wife of Nigerian legendary singer, 2Baba, Annie Idibia, not to join others who have never met her in bashing her on social media.
Naijaonpoint reports that Laura’s plea comes after some Nigerians blasted Annie online over her appearance on the reality TV show, Young, Famous and African.
Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, who was also part of the cast for Season 3, failed to defend Annie, while another cast member, Nadia, spoke ill about her on the show.
Instead, the movie star (Ini) called Annie a b*tch during her diary session for not owning up to her wrongdoing.
However, in a post via Instagram on Monday, Laura stated that Annie is an amazing person and pleaded with her friends not to join netizens in kicking her down following the ongoing event in the television show.
She wrote, “If you are Annie’s friend and you know her and know that she’s an amazing person, please do not join people who haven’t met her to kick her down. If she had ever been nice to you defend her and where people speak ill of her and if you don’t wnat to defend her keep mute, do not join them to speak ill of her.
“Reality shows will mess with your head, so if you have known her before the show continue to show her love. let people who haven’t encountered her judge from the show but you, you have met her and she’s your girl, maintain that positive energy. Do not join the negative conversation.”
