Pokémon Legends: Z-A has revealed a new Mega Evolution coming to its Mega Dimension DLC in December. To date, a number of new Megas have been confirmed for the DLC, but this one is a bit different, since it’s a Mythical Pokémon. That’s right — Mega Zeraora has been confirmed.
As shared via YouTube this morning, Mega Zeraora has been revealed for the Mega Dimension DLC. The Official Pokémon YouTube Channel hinted that it may be a difficult Pokémon catch: “It looks like getting Mega Zeraora for your team will be a little difficult.” The company also teased more insights into Mega Zeraora would be shared ahead of the DLC’s release on December 4, 2025.

A First Look At The New Design
In the new video, Mega Zeraora is shown sporting a new black and blue design with portions of yellow, rather than its typical design of yellow and blue. Given the new black look, Mega Zeraora is reminiscent of Mega Charizard X, which should be enough to get plenty of Pokémon fans excited. Mega Charizard X is arguably the most popular Mega Evolution design out there. Adding to this is the fact Zeraora is an event Pokémon, which means it can’t be traded on the GTS and isn’t often included in the games.
Pokémon Fans Will Definitely Want To Grab Mega Zeroara
When The New Mega Dimension DLC Comes Out
Given how rare Zeraora is, fans will definitely want to snag the DLC to get the newest Mega Evolution. Mega Zeraora joins the likes of Mega Raichu X, Mega Raichu Y, Mega Chimecho, and Mega Baxcalibur as the new Megas confirmed so far. Zeraora is also the second Mythical Pokémon confirmed for the DLC, after Hoopa (which so far doesn’t have a confirmed Mega Evolution).
Thankfully, the wait isn’t a long one since the release date for Mega Dimension is December 4. Given the past promotional videos for Legends: Z-A, and the nice updates for its DLC, fans should expect to see other new content confirmed in the coming weeks. New Mega Evolution reveals also seem likely.
The addition of Mega Zeraora is really nice to see. The Pokémon has been a tough one to get in the past, so for people who may have missed the Gen 7 Mythical before, the Mega Dimension DLC is a great way to get it — with the nice added bonus of it having a Mega Evolution now too. It’ll also be interesting to see how Mega Zeraora shakes up the (somewhat contentious) meta in Pokémon Legends: Z-A when it arrives.
