A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Momodu, has stated that the decision of some chieftains of the opposition party to defect is a prophecy fulfilled.
According to him, many politicians have decided to leave the PDP for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Minister, Nyesom Wike, who is serving in the All Progressives Congress (APC) government.
Naijaonpoint reports Momodu made this submission on Thursday when asked on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily if he was leaving the PDP amidst the internal crisis rocking the party.
“Without any doubt, people are leaving the carcass of PDP to Wike and his cronies, that’s all. It was a prophecy foretold,” Momodu said.
He alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is sending moles to the opposition parties in order to weaken competition in the 2027 election.
“The ruling party does not want competition in 2027, so what they are doing now is to send their moles into any major formidable party,” he said.
The Coalition
Speaking further, the news publisher stated that the coalition movement aimed at unseating President Tinubu in 2027 is a very strong one.
He boasted that not even the coalition that brought former President Muhammadu Buhari to power in 2015 is as strong as the current coalition.
“I have never seen that kind of coalition, even when we were doing coalition for Buhari in 2014 and 2015, it was not this powerful and impactful.
“What I saw yesterday rekindled my hope in Nigeria that Nigerians will not sit down and allow one man to hijack the country,” Momodu said.
He added that Nigeria has deteriorated under the Tinubu administration compared to what Buhari left behind.
“I know you might not be able to answer but is this the Nigeria of your dreams? Are you better today than you were two years ago? At least when Buhari left, we saw what he left no matter how bad it was, but it is much worse today,” he added.
