The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr Danladi Jatau, has called on citizens to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.
Jatau made the call at an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders meeting of the six electoral wards of his constituency on Saturday in Garaku, Kokona Local Government Area (LGA).
The speaker said that Sule has passion and commitment to develop the state if supported by the people, especially the stakeholders.
“His Excellency, Gov. Sule, has passion and interest of the state at heart. He has provided infrastructure in Kokona and other local government areas of the state.
“One of the ways to support the governor is to promote peace and peaceful coexistence in our various communities.
“As you are all aware, there can be no development where there is no peace; let’s give peace a chance,” he added.
Jatau charged the people of Kokona with adhering to its power-sharing philosophy to promote peace, unity, and equity in their communities.
The speaker said that power-sharing builds trust and confidence among people.
