Riyadh: Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been appointed as the first Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued a royal decree according to which Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will be the first prime minister of the kingdom.
According to the Arab media, the decision to make Muhammad bin Salman the prime minister has been made under Article 56 of the Saudi Constitution.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman will also be the Crown Prince and head of the Council of Ministers.
According to the royal decree, Prince Dr. Mansoor has been made the Minister of State, while Prince Khalid bin Salman will remain the Minister of Defense until the reshuffle of the cabinet.
