French champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are ready to step up their pursuit of Victor Osimhen, with reports claiming the Ligue 1 giants are prepared to discuss the huge €150 million valuation placed on the striker by Galatasaray.
Galatasaray have made it clear they will not entertain offers below their asking price for the Nigeria international, who remains under contract in Istanbul until 2029.
PSG’s renewed interest is believed to be tied to manager Luis Enrique’s search for a more physical centre-forward.
Questions over the long-term future of Gonçalo Ramos have also intensified the club’s hunt for a recognised number nine.
Spanish outlet Diario AS reported that PSG see Osimhen as the ideal attacking option, although several European heavyweights are also monitoring the striker.
“Osimhen’s performances have drawn attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Arsenal, Liverpool and Juventus all monitoring his situation closely,” the outlet stated.
Osimhen has enjoyed a prolific spell with Galatasaray, registering 57 goals and 16 assists in 73 appearances. His pace, power and relentless pressing have made him one of Europe’s most coveted forwards.
Despite growing transfer speculation, the Nigerian striker has continued to speak warmly about life in Istanbul.
“Everything here is on another level. Galatasaray fans show you their affection both at away matches and in your private life. They are the best supporters I have seen in my entire career,” Osimhen said.
Meanwhile, FC Porto are exploring a permanent move for Terem Moffi, although the Portuguese side want to negotiate a lower transfer fee with OGC Nice.
Moffi joined Porto on loan during the January transfer window after falling out with sections of Nice supporters following a 3-1 defeat to Lorient.
The striker has struggled to cement a regular starting place at the Estádio do Dragão, scoring twice and providing one assist in 15 appearances, most of them from the bench.
Even so, Porto remain keen to keep the Nigerian beyond this season. The stumbling block is the €8 million purchase clause attached to the deal, a figure the club reportedly consider too high.
Portuguese reports claim Porto are hoping to use Moffi’s uncertain standing at Nice to secure a reduced fee.
“Moffi is on loan at Porto from OGC Nice, with an option to buy at €8m,” A Bola reported.
“The French side do not appear to have him in their plans, and Porto will attempt to negotiate a lower fee to sign him permanently.”
Porto boss Francesco Farioli admitted talks between both clubs will decide the striker’s future.
“It is clear that both parties want to separate. We have an option to buy; we will see what happens after both sides have heard from each other and presented new conditions,” he said.
If negotiations succeed, Moffi is expected to battle for a starting spot next season alongside Samu Aghehowa and Deniz Gül.
