Rapper Lil Xan has pleaded not guilty to assault and battery charges stemming from an incident at a November show in Boston.
Lil Xan was hit with two felony counts after a video of him allegedly throwing a microphone into the crowd before kicking a fan in the head after a verbal altercation last year,
The fan reportedly flipped Xan off, which triggered the rapper. After Xan kicked the fan, Xan was body-slammed on stage before he quickly fled the scene.
Xan claimed he acted out because the victim tried to assault him.
“Am I proud of how I acted or handled the situation hell no, I feel terrible about it, I’m a human just like you, and I will be doing some heavy reflecting after this,” he wrote on Instagram at the time.
Xan, real name Nicholas Diego Leanos, pleaded not guilty in Boston Municipal Court to two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and was released on personal recognizance.
He was ordered to stay away from the venue where the incident occurred, have no contact with the victim.
