LiAngelo Ball has quietly expanded his family, welcoming a baby girl named Lilo Legacy, though he was absent when she entered the world.
Her mother, Rashida Nicole, shared the news in a candid Instagram post.
She wrote that she spent the latter half of her pregnancy handling everything solo, a period she described as difficult but ultimately empowering as she prepared to become a mother again without Ball by her side.
“I chose for my child’s father not to be at my delivery,” Nicole revealed. “That decision came after months of emotional pain, hurtful words, and complete absence during the most vulnerable season of my life.”
“For the last five months, I’ve done everything alone — every appointment, every milestone, every challenge.”
The experience, she said, pushed her to rethink what support should look like and who she could rely on. That reevaluation extended to her past friction with Nikki “Nikki Baby” Mudarris, Ball’s former partner and the mother of his older children.
Nicole said she later learned they had both been misled about Ball’s relationship status and that the revelation helped her approach Nikki with empathy rather than resentment.
In her post, Nicole thanked Nikkiand her family for showing up in ways she did not expect, calling their steady encouragement a bright spot during an otherwise isolating time.
She added that she no longer feels compelled to defend someone she believes did not show her the same consideration.
“I won’t protect someone who never protected me,” Nicole continued. “Someone who disrespected me, lied on me, and pushed a one-sided narrative to avoid accountability, continue to inflict pain and build broken homes. […] So no, I wasn’t going to allow a 5-minute delivery room photo-op for the internet.”
