Reactions As Police Arrest Native Doctor, Father Of Young Man Buried Alive For Fortification, But Dies In The Process After Obtaining Visa

Enugu State Police Command has arrested Chikwado’s father, Uwakwe Eze, and the native doctor, Onuwa, in connection to the sudden death of chikwado in an unclear circumstance.

A Young Man Identified As Chikwado Eze, from Ugbaike in Enugu Ezike, Enugu State, has reportedly lost his life during a controversial fortification ritual at a native doctor’s shrine.

The tragic incident has sparked outrage and raised questions about the dangers of extreme traditional practices. The Native Doctor, Identified As Onuwa, instructed that Chikwado be buried alive for one hour and thirty minutes to undergo the fortification ritual. Tragically, when Chikwado was exhumed, he was found dead.

“The Command is investigating the circumstances surrounding Chikwado’s death and will ensure that justice is served,” said a police spokesperson.

Community Reacts:

The Ugbaike community is in shock, with many expressing outrage and sadness over the tragic loss of life.

“This is a senseless and heartbreaking incident,” said a local resident. “It’s unacceptable that such harmful practices still exist in our society.”

The incident highlights the need for education and awareness about the dangers of harmful traditional practices.

“We must work together to eradicate such harmful beliefs and ensure that our youth are protected from exploitation,” said a local leader. The Enugu State Government has been urged to take swift action to address the issue and prevent similar incidents in the future.

Chikwado’s visa was out, and he went to his village Ugbaike in Igbo-Eze north LGA in Enugu state to inform his father, but his father suggested they visit a native doctor for 4tification so that he will be successful abroad.
They got to Onuwa, the native doctor who said that Chikwado should be bùriéd alive for 1hr 30 minutes after which he will exhùmèd. After 1hr 30mins, they exhùmèd him, and he was dead already
