A secondary school student has taken to social media to express his disappointment after being awarded a torchlight as a prize for emerging as the best Literature student during his graduation ceremony.
The incident was shared on TikTok by the user @flawless_media2.0, who documented the moment he received the award.
The video begins with footage from the graduation event, showing the student being called out and honoured for his academic performance.
However, upon getting home and unwrapping his prize, he discovered it was a packaged torchlight.
In the clip, he could be heard saying, “I talk am, na torch,” suggesting he had already suspected what the gift might be.
