The past few weeks have been particularly favorable for Xiaomi. The company managed to overtake Apple in the global smartphone sales rankings. Mid-range devices, such as the Redmi Note series, helped it achieve the feat. Now, the Chinese giant has revealed that the Redmi Note 14 series will arrive “next week,” as well as the design of the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro+.
Redmi Note 14 Pro lineup official renders; series arriving next week
Regarding the Redmi Note 14 launch date, Xiaomi did not offer a specific day. We only know that the new devices will launch sometime next week. It seems that the company wants to keep the expectations around the series until almost the last day. It is possible that Xiaomi will reveal the exact date of the event before the end of this week.
The company also confirmed the design of the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro+ in renders. For some time now, the Redmi Note series has been betting on a “premium-like” look to stand out in the segment, mainly in the Pro models. It appears that the upcoming lineup will follow the same path. The renders show the Redmi Note 14 Pro in two colorways: Phantom Blue and Twilight Purple. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ stands out in a Porcelain White finish.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro and 14 Pro+ will feature curved edges on the front and rear. The company is experimenting with a dual-tone rear finish that distributes the colors in grids for the Pro model. The Pro’s Twilight Purple variant shows a particularly elegant vegan leather cover. On the other hand, the Pro+ model uses a more sober unicolor finish.
There are also aesthetic differences between the rear camera modules of both variants. The “island” is thinner in the Pro variant, but the camera lenses raise noticeably. Meanwhile, the Pro+ model’s camera island is thicker, enclosing the lenses in a “dome.” There are likely to be more differences in aspects such as weight and thinness, but these are still unknown.
Some leaked and confirmed specs
According to leaks, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip will power the Redmi Note 14 Pro. It would also bring 90W fast charging and a 50 MP main camera. Meanwhile, the Pro+ variant would rely on Mediatek’s Dimensity 7350 chip. Xiaomi confirmed that both devices will be durable thanks to an IP68 water and dust resistance rating and improved Diamond Structure. Lastly, the series will enjoy “extended software support.”
