Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has said the House will vote on crucial constitutional amendment bills, including the special seats bill, upon resumption of plenary in October.

Kalu disclosed this during a reception on the reserved seats for women bill, organised by The Osasu Show (TOS) with support from the Swiss Embassy in Abuja, yesterday.

According to Kalu, the legislation is not born out of sentiments but current realities to deepen democracy in Nigeria. He called on women’s groups to reach out to all relevant stakeholders and influential people in the country.
