“Respect yourself enough to stay away from places you aren’t invited” – Actress Kate Henshaw advises

Stay away from places you arent invited Actress Kate Henshaw advises Kemi Filani blog

Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has advised those who are fond of gatecrashing events.

In a video on her Instagram page, she questioned why people are fond of attending events or parties without being invited. The movie star asked what their purpose and their aim were.

She also addressed those who receive a card for themselves and invite all their family and friends. Kate said no one can try that with her, as she admonished the public to respect themselves.

“I want to talk about something rampant, has been rampant and is still rampant. I just want to ask those of you who show up uninvited at events and parties, what’s your purpose? What do you aim to achieve? Then, those of you who receive a card that admits only one person and invite all your village people, don’t check with the host; you pack people and come. What are you doing there? Why don’t you respect yourself and stay away? It’s rude, you’re a gate crasher”.

During the trial of Senator Natasha Akpoti, Kate Henshaw showered her with accolades, commending Akpoti for not allowing backward narratives about the importance or roles of women. She spoke about how women were once relegated to being spineless and considered weak.

She had also reacted to a statement from a lady who said she prefers dating Yahoo boys to working-class men. Henshaw said this is why ladies like her end up getting killed for ritual because of their wrong mindset.

That wasn’t the first time Kate Henshaw has stirred the internet with her statement.

The actress stirred backlash with her Father’s Day message. While sharing a Bible passage, she gave a shout-out to Fathers who are responsible for their kids, and prayed for God’s strength, favour, and blessings on them.

Her message didn’t sit well with many who pointed out the double standard at which she wished all mothers Happy Mother’s Day but was only celebrating responsible Fathers.

Kate replied, stating that it was her timeline and her tweet. Hence, she could do whatever she wanted. In another tweet, she told those dragging her that she was going to enjoy her life as she noted how they would be alright. Kate made them know that the name-calling doesn’t shake her.
