Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Porsha Williams is back in court, this time asking a judge to hold ex-husband Simon Guobadia in contempt for allegedly failing to pay more than $667,000 tied to their divorce.
In a petition filed this week, Porsha claims Simon has ignored obligations outlined in their June final judgment, including alimony, attorney’s fees, home expenses, and property taxes. She argued his nonpayment shows “a knowing, intentional, and ongoing disregard for this Court’s authority and the Final Judgment it issued,” and suggested he forfeit his equity stake in their former marital home.
But Simon insists the filing is premature.
In a statement to TMZ, he said, “I’m finding out from [a] media publication about the new filings. As you may be aware, the divorce action has been closed, and the matter is now before the Georgia Court of Appeals.”
He added, “We filed a timely appeal (30 days) of the judge’s decision, and I’m sure opposing counsel is aware that a higher court has to rule on the merits of the appeal before a lower court would entertain any ‘new’ court filings. Until then, those filings are tantamount to toilet tissue for the public’s consumption.”
The pair tied the knot back in 2022, but filed for divorce in early 2024 after 15 months of marriage. Their split was finalized in June 2025. Earlier this year, Simon was detained by ICE, before being deported to Nigeria.
A judge is yet to rule.
