Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has announced that his government would remain focused on providing the state’s residents with effective governance.
According to the governor, his target for 2025 going forward would be to better the healthcare, education and agriculture sectors of Rivers State.
Naijaonpoint reports that Fubara mentioned this on Saturday, July 6, with reporters following a thorough inspection of the Zonal Hospital and its surrounding buildings in Degema Town, located in the Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State.
In a press release by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara promised that his government would prioritize healthcare, education, and agriculture.
The governor stressed that the citizens of the state would have access to high-quality services from these critical sectors.
Fubara said: “We are here this afternoon, just like what happened yesterday (Friday), and if you could remember, I said part of our areas of concern, going forward, will be healthcare services.
“We are here in Degema today to assess the level of work ongoing. As you can see, we don’t have a befitting and standard healthcare facility here. And that is why we need to put this place to make it standard.
“Like I said, my target for 2025 is going to be healthcare, education and agriculture. This is just the start. We are here to assure our people that no matter what it is, we still have our eyes on the ball.
“I urge the good people of Degema to continue to support us; that this government is purposeful and understands the needs of the people.”
