Rivers: Wike Speaks On 2027 Anointed Candidate, Gives Supporters Hint

Nyesom Wike 1

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has urged his supporters to observe the movement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmen, as well as other leaders loyal to him, to know his 2027 anointed candidate for the state’s governorship election in 2027.

Naijaonpoint reports that Wike spoke on Wednesday in Ahoada East Local Government Area, LGA of Rivers State, while addressing supporters of the APC and the PDP.

While appealing to his supporters to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, the Minister also urged them to watch out for his anointed candidate.

He said, “The other one, as it relates to the State, we will come back. Watch where your council chairman is going.

“Watch where the PDP and APC chairman are going, anywhere you see them, that is where we are”.

Recalls that Wike had vowed to ensure that his estranged political godson, Siminalayi Fubara, was not re-elected in 2027.

Meanwhile, PDP chieftain, Emmanuel Ogidi, has predicted that Wike would soon turn against the APC.

According to him, the APC had initially empowered Wike to bring down the PDP, but the tables are turning.

Speaking on Wednesday during an appearance on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, Ogidi said the wrangling between Wike and some APC members would also get worse.

He, however, said the APC is only getting a dose of its own medicine from Wike.
