Roddy Ricch is calling out a content creator who allegedly tried to extort him for $50,000 over a Grammy Award he lost in a storage unit.
Prieto Hunters says he came across Roddy’s Grammy for Best Rap Performance after he bought the nit for $280 at an auction.
Roddy says that even though he was able to retrieve the award, Hunters tried to get him to cough up $50,000 first.
“My personal assistant ended up getting into a near-fatal accident and had a severe brain injury. Me going back and forth to Miami, I just put my stuff in storage for safe-keeping. Him getting into that accident is how that shit got mishandled,” the rapper said on Instagram Live.
He said he contacted Hunter and offered him $10,000, but instead of graciously accepting the award, Hunter demanded five times the amount and a luxury timepiece.
“I was like, ‘Bruh, I got 10 bands for you.’ He was like, ‘That ain’t sh-t. I want $50,000.’ First, he asked for an AP, then he asked for $50,000,” he revealed, adding that Hunters attempted to “extort” him.
Hunters clapped back, denying Roddy’s version of events. He says he returned the Grammy for free and that his family has been receiving death threats over the incident.
The guy who found Roddy Ricch’s Grammy in a storage unit was DOXXED and Threatened despite legally acquiring the award.
