Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will sit at the top of the S22 lineup, which is rumoured to launch early next year in India and other international markets. The device is yet to get an official launch date but its key details have started to float online. A Geekbench listing of the Ultra model has surfaced online with the model number SM-S908N.
The device comes with a Snapdragon chip under the hood clocked at 3.0GHz. It is no surprise that the phone will draw power from the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which was launched earlier this year. The new chip is claimed to offer improved performance and efficiency. Samsung is also rumoured to launch the S22 series in India with the Snapdragon chip instead of Exynos. The chipset is paired with an Adreno 730 GPU.
The variant listed on Geekbench has 10GB of RAM. However, Samsung is likely to launch the phone with 8GB, 12GB RAM options in international markets. The listing also confirms that the device boots Android 12 out of the box. It will have a layer of One UI 4.0 on top. Another key detail confirmed via the Indonesia telecom certification is the S Pen of the Ultra model. It has the model number EJ-PS908. The listing on the certification website clearly confirms that the S Pen is for the Samsung top-end flagship.
Design renders of the S22 Ultra have leaked in the past. It will have a quad-camera setup on the back with a 108MP primary camera. The camera setup also includes a 12MP ultrawide camera and two 10MP telephoto camera sensors with 3x and 10x optical zoom support.
At the front, the device will have a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch cutout. It is also said to pack a 5000 mAh battery with 45W charging support. What are your thoughts on the Samsung flagship smartphone? Do let us know in the comments below.
