Samsung is expected to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series smartwatches in the coming months. The upcoming Watch 6 lineup is expected to consist of two watches – Samsung Watch 6 and Samsung Watch 6 Classic. These smartwatches are expected to be unveiled alongside Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in July/August.
In a new development, we have spotted the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 models have been on Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification database. As per the certification listing, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 40mm model has the model number SM-R930. Whereas, the Watch 6 44mm variant appears to have the model number SM-R940. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 will feature support for Bluetooth, WiFI 802.11 b/g/n/a, NFC, and GNSS. Similar to Samsung Watch 5 lineup, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 will support wireless charging. The wireless charger of the upcoming Watch 6 has the model number ER-OR900. This is the same charger that Samsung uses for its current generation Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series.
Alongside the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6, the Korean tech giant is also expected to launch the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic with rotating bezels, similar to Watch 4 Classic. The upcoming Watch 6 Classic will reportedly feature a 1.47-inch display with a 470 × 470 pixel resolution. It might feature a 425mAh battery unit under the hood.
