The Samsung Health app will now allow users to view and track their medical records. Samsung has partnered with b.well Connected Health, which allows easier access to health data.
Samsung partners with b.well for the latter’s medical records
The Samsung Health platform has been growing rapidly. The app acts as an aggregator for data collected from Samsung’s wearable devices. Specifically speaking, the Samsung Health app collates and processes data collected from the Galaxy Watch series or Galaxy Ring.
Samsung offers basic health advice by processing the data it collects. Samsung Health has had medication tracking for more than six months now. Moving forward, the company is now collaborating with healthcare providers and companies that collect medical records.
The medical industry now has providers offering data through online patient portals like MyChart or “b.well Connected Health”. Using apps from these companies, users can check prescriptions, past visits, and further medical records on their smartphones.
Samsung has reportedly partnered with b.well to accept and integrate medical records from the latter’s database. The South Korean tech giant will feed this data into the Samsung Health platform, which has an app of the same name.
Samsung Health app to offer health record tracking
As a result of partnering with b.well, the Samsung Health app will provide people access to their health data. Users can access previous medical records, including vaccinations, prescriptions, and specific medical tests, Samsung announced.

The Samsung Health app can offer users recommendations for the next steps and actions to maintain their health. It can even prompt users to seek medical attention. Combined with medication tracking, this integration may allow the Samsung Health app to become a one-stop shop for medical care, suggested Samsung.
Interestingly, the app can also scan pill bottles to input new medication. Similarly, Samsung is also adding barcode scanning for nutrition tracking. The company has reportedly partnered with Fatsecret, a provider of verified food and nutrition data for its database.
