Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze has had a topsy-turvy stay at AC Milan since joining the club two years ago, and his stint there might just end this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.
When Chukwueze joined the Rossoneri from Villarreal, it was expected that he would build on his brilliant performance in his last season in Spain and shine in Italy.
However, he has flattered to deceive. The Super Eagles star has shown occasional flashes of brilliance, but he hasn’t impressed all the coaches he has worked under, from Stefano Pioli to Paulo Fonseca to Sergio Conceicao.
Since joining AC Milan, Chukwueze has featured in 69 games, with eight goals and six assists to his name. Most of his minutes have even been from the bench.
Milan have a new sheriff in town, as Massimiliano Allegri replaced Conceicao at the end of last season. The Italian tactician is a stark winner, as he has won the Scudetto multiple times, with AC Milan and Juventus.
He is expected to bring a new philosophy to AC Milan, which means new players will join the club and some peripheral players will leave.
According to Italian football expert Nicolo Schira, Super Eagles forward Chukwueze is one of the players who will leave. The former Villarreal man is in a 12-man list of players who will leave this summer.

Where will Samuel Chukwueze move to from AC Milan?
As it stands, not many clubs are looking at Samuel Chukwueze. In the January transfer window, he was linked with Arsenal, Fulham, and Villarreal, but nothing happened.

Realistically though, Arsenal might be a long shot, as he is not a player who is operating on the level that the Gunners need at the moment.
Fulham, however, seems like a more likely destination, as he will offer them a good outlet on the right if he moves there. They can also afford him, which makes the transfer quite reasonable.
Villarreal could also return for Chukwueze, as they need reinforcements ahead of next season when they will be competing in the UEFA Champions League.
For sure, they will be able to afford him. But whether he will be willing to return to his old employers will be the big question.
