Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ winner Phyna has traded words with a man who slammed her over her support for activist, Very Dark Man.
Kemi Filani reported that in the wake of his saga with Falz, Bobrisky, and EFCC, Phyna, declared her support for him as she nominated him to contest as President of the Youth Democratic Party (YDP). She stated that she will boldly and proudly stand by him as she believes a better Nigeria will come through him.
Reacting to her support for him, VDM promised that after he met with the House of Representatives, he would go on a date with Phyna, and they would eat one of their favorite tr!be food, Groundnut soup and starch.
Not pleased with the show of love between Phyna and VDM, a Twitter user described them as two fools from Edo State. He tweeted, “Two fools from Edo State”.
His statement didn’t sit well with Phyna, who called him an Igbo goat who ate his ancestors.
“See this Igbo goat that ate his ancestors”.
Phyna had earlier explained her support for Very Dark Man; making it clear that it wasn’t about Bobrisky or Very Dark Man but about fighting corruption and making the country a better place. Phyna stated that she stands against corruption and oppression and has the right to talk about whatever was going on, just like others.
Phyna wasn’t the only one standing with Very Dark Man. Veteran actress Rita Edochie had called him a well-meaning activist as she praised his work and prayed for him to grow from strength to strength. The sister-in-law of Pete Edochie assured him that God has his back and even the world supports and applauds his efforts. Edochie told him he would always have her genuine backing and support.
Meanwhile, BBNaija Vee Iye criticized VDM’s supporters, stating that they may need a mental evaluation. She stated that it was time to hold certain people responsible as she emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in advocating for Nigerians’ rights, dismissing the idea of individual freedom fighters.
Over the past year, Very Dark Man had angered many especially with his dragging of celebrities. Recently, VDM, released audio of Bobrisky, where he alleged that some unnamed EFCC officers collected N15 million from him to drop money laundering charges against him. The crossdresser alleged that a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and his son assured him of getting the charges dropped and keeping him out of Prison.
He called out rapper, Falz and his father, Femi Falana, and alleged that they were the ones behind Bobrisky’s ordeal. A claim the rapper and his father’s team denied and threatened to take legal action if he didn’t tender a public apology to them.
