A fresh disagreement has emerged in the National Assembly as Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan issued a direct warning to her colleague, Senator Osita Ngwu, over what she described as the removal of his comments from an internal communication channel for lawmakers.

The senator from Kogi Central made her position public on Saturday through a Facebook post.

In ..., she accused Senator Ngwu, who represents Enugu West, of deleting his contributions in the closed WhatsApp group used by members of the Senate.

She insisted that the responses be restored or he would take the entire conversation outside the private forum.

Her message was clear and unfiltered.

“Dear Senator Osita Ngwu of Enugu West Senatorial District, You will open responses in the Senators WhatsApp forum and repost my deleted comments. Else I’ll bring the discussion to the public domain. – Natasha”

... quickly triggered widespread reactions, with many Nigerians noting the unusual nature of the confrontation, especially as it involved two lawmakers from the same political party.

The complaint has also raised fresh discussions about internal cohesion within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) caucus in the 10th Senate.

As at the time of filing this report, Senator Ngwu has not responded to the allegation.

Moreover, his media team has remained silent, offering no clarification on whether the comments were deleted intentionally or if there was a technical issue within the group.
